Romance and Weltanschauun

I tried and reading books that better my education and Weltanschauun, however 9 out of 10 times I go for the romance novels.

Currently reading

Lay It Down: A Desert Dogs Novel
Cara McKenna

Dangerous Lover

Dangerous Lover - Lisa Marie Rice ugh...VOMIT.
This book sucked. I was tempted by the cover---yes it looks like a steamy ready. Ho no it's awful. The main character has a pathetic background making her meek, inferior, multiple psych issues with losing her family. He was born homeless picked up off the streets by a military man, and still in love the same woman he met 12 years ago that he Never even touched. so unbelievable
Also how can a man who isn't imaginative or great at sex become a wonderous lover overnight.
and blood diamonds...really.

Lethal Rider

Lethal Rider - Larissa Ione OH my god....sooooo good!

American Beauty

American Beauty - Ashley Ladd Looks funny.

One Foot in the Grave

One Foot in the Grave - Jeaniene Frost Not the best work of fiction, but entertaining. I laughed out loud a few times.

Changing the Game

Changing the Game - Jaci Burton so predictable!
The plot followed the standard romance plot with no deviation. The dialogue especially during sex was corny. I actually cringed while reading it.
On the upside, I'm excited to see where the third book will go. It's focused on the story of Jenna, the sister of Mick and Gavin. She seems more edgy with piercings and tattoos. I want to read about her romance with the hockey player.

Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress

Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress - Ina Rilke, Sijie Dai I like the book a lot. It was interesting to see two teens in the midst of culture re-education. However I was confused towards the end of the book. The author switched tactics of writing with no warning and wrote from the view point of other characters in the book. The ending didn't seem to go with the beginning of the book.

Sizzling Sixteen

Sizzling Sixteen - Janet Evanovich the writing is getting boring and nothing ever happens romantically between the characters.
There are still a few funny one liners that had me cracking up out loud when I was reading the book on the train.
id give it a 2 1/2

Seven Daughters and Seven Sons

Seven Daughters and Seven Sons - Barbara Cohen, Bahija Lovejoy One of my most favorite books. I can read it over and over and never get tired of it.

Smokin' Seventeen

Smokin' Seventeen - Janet Evanovich, Lorelei King I'm not super excited...but just want to borrow from Lib.

Corralled

Corralled - Lorelei James awful;
sex was awful and uncreative
main character was a flake...and the two guys...boring
writing awful.. I just left feeling angry that I wasted my time.
Her other series is much more fun!

Ella Enchanted

Ella Enchanted - Gail Carson Levine I loved this book as a child and re-read it so many times my copy fell apart.

Rock Hard

Rock Hard - Olivia Cunning I didn't like it as much as the first book. I felt that the 180 degree change of Sed was a little unbelievable. How could he go from a tormented Alpha asshole, to the mushy lovey dovey character in this book.

Soulless

Soulless - Gail Carriger, Gail Carriger Surprisingly very witty

Twilight

Twilight - Stephenie Meyer AWFUL. This should not be a popular book, the writing is terrible. I've read harlequin Blaze with better characters and plot than this book

Acting On Impulse (Midnight Fantasies) (Harlequin Blaze)

Acting On Impulse (Midnight Fantasies) (Harlequin Blaze) - Vicki Lewis Thompson ridiculous
